Description
Requirements:
- 24 years + experience in US tax preparation with an emphasis in High Net-Worth individuals
- Degree in Accounting or related field (Master's degree a plus)
- EA/CPA license Mandatory
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Technical skills: CCH Axcess, Sureprep preferable, however Gosystem, Onesource, other tax software can be considered
- Research skills: IRS Form Instructions and Publications, Bloomberg, written tax research memos
Job Role:
- Prepare US tax returns for US/foreign individuals (Form 1040/104NR)
- Understanding of foreign requirements (e.g., Forms 1116, 3520, 3520A, 114, 8938, 8621, 5471, 5472, 8858, 8865) and Streamline Foreign Offshore Procedures
- Forms 709, 1041, 1065, 1120 experience a bonus (not mandatory)
- Clearly arrange information provided by client into support workpapers
- Identify and input relevant information into tax software/tax return and ensure data is reported on tax return by selfreview
- Identify missing information to be discussed with Tax Senior/Manager/offshore team
- Monitor workflow to ensure tax returns are completed efficiently, within requested time frame and to a high standard
- Communicate with onshore supervisor and/or offshore team to provide updates on workinhouse and identify any concerns regarding workflow management
