Qualification:
M.Sc. in Human Genetics/Bio-technology

Critical Accountabilities:

Detect Chromosome abnormalities.
Prepare Karyotyping, cultures and harvests cells/tissues to produce mitotic cell preparations.
Prepare slides by Chromosome spreading, banding and staining.
Analyze slide preparations to diagnose Chromosome abnormalities.
Assist in managing consumable stock
Maintain equipment's & instruments
Sterilize/ fumigate/ clean culture room
Perform documentation activities for the department
Ordering for stock as per requirements
Scientific and academic publication
Taking classes for students

Skills & Knowledge:

Knowledge of cytogenetic processes and terminologies
Understanding of laboratory instrument handling (operation, adjustment and maintenance).
Understanding of computer imaging.
Understanding of research processes
