**JOB PURPOSE**To carry out sampling/phlebotomy of various samples along with testing of samples received for pathology examination and ensure correct results and reports are generated and reach the patient/clinician at the required time.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Core Responsibilities

To effectively interface with patients, attendants, nursing staff and service users.
To demonstrate skills in handling blood & sample collection.
To do phlebotomy/ sampling of IPD as well as OPD patients
To ensure error free routine tests and examinations and record the results in department registers.
To strictly follow and implement the laboratory SOPs and Quality assurance programs.
To implement infection control policy & proper waste disposal.
To comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area.
To comply with patient safety policy.
To ensure safe utilization of equipment and proper waste disposal system

Consistently facilitates accuracy & timeliness in sampling.
Knowledgeable about various Q.A programs in laboratory and is able to effectively implement them.
Optimal utilization of equipment and material resources.
Follow Instruction manuals of all equipment in 100% cases.
