Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Mainframe Communication team needs core HNS system program skills.
  • Host Network System support with adequate knowledge in this area with Mainframes background will allow to support the projects/customer.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in zOS System Administration environment with work management, user management, journal management and performance management.
  • Demonstrable skills in zOS systems programming.
  • Validated knowledge in the following technologies: z/OS, Unix System Services, SMP/E, REXX, Java, VSAM, Third party products.
  • Proven experience in providing support for ISV products.
  • Proficient in technologies like P2V, V2V and P2P migrations.
  • Ability to Recognize complex problems related to functional objectives.
  • Analyze situations and implement solutions, or develop new system elements, procedures or processes and demonstrated ability on BRMS, Tape management, ATL/VTL for Tape Libraries.
  • Can act as the technical lead on internal team projects or participate on project teams that impact the z/OS platform.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Mainframe HNS/VTAM support.
  • 6+ Years' experience in Mainframe Network Support.
  • Network Communications Subject Matter Expert.
  • Full set of Mainframe Communication Server skills to support VTAM, TCP/IP.
  • NetView / SysView, FTP, SFTP, Axway CFT, Connect: Direct, VIPA, DVIPA, a complex GDPS environment.

Bachelor's Degree
