Position Summary


The data associate works as part of the data operations team to process and ingest macroeconomic data releases that are used by internal and external clients.

Part of the ingest process is quality control, documentation, and attribution.

The key component of the process is the timeliness with which data is updated and the accuracy of processed data.

Job Summary


The position requires knowledge of economic data, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, excellent attention to detail, a methodical approach to keeping track of data processing requirements, an ongoing review of the process, and maintaining contact with sources to keep abreast of new developments, new data, changes in publishing schedules or formats.

The position requires effective use of software programs including data parsers (proprietary, Microsoft Office, proprietary IHS Markit ingest systems, and Internet Explorer to monitor source websites.

Duties and accountabilities
Collect and ingest time-sensitive macroeconomic releases
Quality check all economic information
Document all procedures
Provide second-level support to customers on request
Work on projects and add content on macroeconomic data
Education/Experience Requirements
Master's degree in Economics
0-1 years of relevant experience required
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
Excellent attention to detail
Good command of Microsoft Office products, including MS Excel and MS Word
Good computer and analytical skills
