Description

Responsible for efficient and highly productive vessel planning with due consideration to the vessel stability and safety and ensuring best turnaround of vessel with optimum productivity.

Role:

Prepare and execute the vessel discharge and load plans and ensure that they meet the vessel stability and safety requirements
Coordinate to ensure vessel BAPLIE, discharge/ loading EDIs are received well in advance Communicate with vessel operators central planner and obtain stowage information and approval of the loading plan timely.
Ensure that stowage matches actual load list and mismatch reports are forwarded to vessels agent
Ensure that vessel layout is defined in the system
Establish and monitor crane sequence
Prepare bay plans and submit them for approval by Vessel Chief Officer
Work towards optimizing vessel planning to avoid yard clashes/congestion in order to achieve higher productivity
Coordinate with yard planner and dispatcher for meeting standards of productivity, efficiency and conducting safe operations
File and maintain planningrelated papers in accordance with standard operation procedures Close vessel files upon vessel sailing and submit terminal departure reports to Vessel Operators accordingly.
Minimum 7 years of experience in planning for container terminals
Knowledge of container vessel stowage and stability
Excellent planning and organizing skills
Well versed with Windows operating systems.
Experience of working on any terminal operating software (TOS) is must.
Should be detail oriented, hardworking and self-motivated
Should be prepared to work in shifts
