Your role

You'll be working in the 'Global Reconciliations Utility' IT team in Pune. 'Global Reconciliations Utility' IT (GRU IT) is responsible to deliver an efficient, high quality set of end to end IT Services creating reconciliations that are used globally within UBS. You will be collaborating and working in partnership with Reconciliations Operations across multiple stakeholders within the Bank.

We are looking for a Database Administrator to work with the Reconciliations & Data Integrity crew, to help lead us on our digital transformation and journey by:
Being part of a pod responsible for executing and testing our migrations to PostgreSQL and re-hosting in Microsoft Azure.
Building observability into our solutions, monitor production health of the databases, optimize and improve performance, help resolve incidents and remediate the root cause of risks and issues.
Helping drive SRE culture for enhancing reliability, automation, and TOIL reduction of the database products.
Designing and modelling, with experience in Database schema creation and maintenance, Data security, Operating system software (Linux, macOS, Microsoft Windows, UNIX).

Your expertise

Your Expertise:
deep knowledge on Oracle, PostgreSQL database administration, performance tuning and automation frameworks.

- experience of data modelling (relational and dimensional)
- expert in underlying Operating Systems such as Red Hat and others.
- experience of planning and executing database migrations, Oracle upgrades and Oracle to PostgreSQL.
- experience of hosting both on-premise and in Cloud, preferably Azure.
- good exposure to computer programming language(s)
- experience of Site Reliability Engineering.
- knowledge or experience of post trade

Reconciliations platforms, such as Clareti Transaction Control or Intellimatch is a bonus.
