    Description

    The Technology Team consists of sub-groups responsible for Product Testing/Validation & Release, Software Development and Technical Documentation of products designed for the Power & Water Industry. The successful candidate will ensure alignment of vision and purpose with the PWS Product Roadmap, drive programs in support of this vision, target employee development, skill enhancement, product quality and safe work practices.

    The Technology Team at the GEC in Noida is a key player in ensuring high-quality product releases from PWS and will collaborate with R&D and Engineering Teams across PWS, globally, to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

    In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

    • Set a clear vision and strategic direction for the GEC Technology Team in line with the PWS Product Roadmap and Governance Policies
    • Lead a team of Development, Validation Managers and Technical Writers to deliver world class products aligned with PWS strategy
    • Ensure that the technology organization, staffing, & budget are aligned to the Global PWS Technology needs
    • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
    • Continuously review the GEC technology teams' skill against the organization's needs while ensuring gaps are filled by targeted skill enhancement programs
    • Work with the GEC leadership for infrastructure planning for expansion plans. Coordinate and facilitate hardware / software procurement
    • Work with teams and the quality management at GEC and to ensure that the technology setup is compliant to the ISO standard
    • Ensure compliance to prescribed Emerson Health and Safety norms in labs and the team. Guide the technology team towards HSE certification

    For This Role, You Will Need:

    • Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronic Engineering
    • The candidate should have 15 plus years of experience of which atleast 3 years should be in a managerial capacity in a technology related field with thorough understanding of the product development life cycle
    • Agile Decision making skills; Strong analytical and questioning skills coupled with ability to develop and implement strategies
    • Strong people management & interpersonal skills; matured personality
    • Strong organization and planning skills
    • Excellent communication skills with strong proficiency in written and spoken English

    Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

    • Knowledge and experience with Agile Development/Testing methodologies
    • Knowledge of Ovation or other Distributed Control Systems
    • Experience working in Power & Water Industry
    • Experience in leading organization level Innovation Program(s)
