PE Teacher duties and responsibilities PE Teachers are responsible for advancing their students physical ability and knowledge of sports.

They are responsible for the welfare of their students and for ensuring that students can gain the qualifications they need to advance their education or their desired career paths after school.

Their key duties and responsibilities include:

Supervising practical PE lessons, including both indoor and outdoor classesEnsuring that children compete to their ability level and arent exposed to unnecessary injury or illness through school sportsMotivating school children to take up new sports or athletic pursuitsEvaluating the performance of students throughout the school yearAttending parents evenings and providing parents with comprehensive reports on their childs progressTraining and coaching school sports teams to compete and succeed in nation-wide eventsTransporting individual competitors, school teams and other teachers to and from school sporting eventsEnsuring that students pass their practical and theoretical PE examsPE Teacher skills and qualifications A successful PE Teachers will have various prerequisite skills and teaching qualifications and a passion for sports.

They have expert knowledge of a wide variety of sports, sporting tactics and physical training programmes. PE Teachers also need to enjoy working with students and have excellent organisation, communication and teaching skills. Their main skills and qualifications include
