Introduction:
What will you be doing?

  • Responsibility for understanding organisation and headcount in location and for specific subfunctions and ensuring the Global COO team are kept informed of updates/changes through publishing reports for joiners, leavers, internal mobility, forecasts, vacancy tracking and reconciliation analysis across global footprint of around 2000 FTEs
  • Improve the service proposition and quality of the team. Complete/contribute to the balance scorecard to inform wider BM Teams & Ops management regarding efficiency and effectiveness of the team and identify / contribute to key controls across the team to ensure clear oversight and effectiveness of standards and processes
  • Support end to end management of Purchase orders
  • Provide close support and assistance to the Analytics and Operations teams and take responsibility for the delivery and output of the offshore team extending across all processes and interaction with its stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant Barclays Policies and Procedures, support the Risk Framework and all governance frameworks, provide succinct and commercially oriented regular and adhoc reporting as required by Business Management e.g. weekly progress reports, performance against targets, Mid Term Plans and Management Business Reviews
  • Global Cost Review and Analytics
  • Global Cost Analysis by account line / cost centres
  • Run daily reports from Chase during month end process and provide valuable insights
  • Management Reporting
  • Planning and Outlook
  • Prepare planning and outlook templates for review with BMs/FBPs
  • Support BMs on the overall MTP/STP exercise
  • Global Cost Accruals
  • Premonth review of expense and accruals
  • Calculation of accruals and maintenance of calculation models
  • Liaise with accounting Operations to ensure posting of accruals, prepayments and expense re class.
  • Adequate substantiation of accruals and prepayments

What we're looking for:

  • Basic Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills and experience
  • Basic analytical skills with the ability to communicate the story and provide executive reporting / communication
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills a must
  • Degree qualification as a minimum. Preferably Accounting/ Finance/ Business Management.
  • Flexibility to work in a 24 x 7 environment with variable shift patterns

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience in financial services; on an international scale preferred
  • Ability to balance multiple critical requests from various stakeholders and prioritise in the right order
  • Ability to drive and execute deliverables in short time frames and work with limited supervision and able to thrive in a challenging and ever changing environment
  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with internal stakeholders across all levels and geographies of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills across a variety of forums and mediums. Proven ability to distil information into key messages and deliver succinctly according to audience
