Server/Kitchen Hand


Overview:


As a Server/Kitchen Hand, you play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations in both the front and back of the house in a restaurant or hospitality setting.

You will assist with food preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining cleanliness, as well as serve food and beverages to customers. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Food Preparation:


  • Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing garnishes.
  • Follow recipes and food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and consistency of dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including storage areas and preparation surfaces.

Dishwashing and Cleaning:


  • Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment by hand or using dishwashing equipment.
  • Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene standards are maintained in the kitchen area.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and floors regularly throughout the shift.

Front of House Support:


  • Assist servers with delivering food and beverages to customers in a timely manner.
  • Clear and reset tables between guests, ensuring a clean and inviting dining environment.
  • Provide assistance to customers with special requests or dietary requirements.

Customer Service:


  • Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and answer questions about the menu.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude while interacting with customers and coworkers.

Teamwork and Communication:


  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
  • Communicate any food shortages, equipment malfunctions, or other issues to management promptly.
  • Support coworkers during busy periods and help to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, highpressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one.

Job Types:

Pay:
₹8, ₹20,829.38 per month
