Minimum qualifications:


  • 5 years of experience in data and analytics.
  • Experience with data curation, ETL, integration technologies and techniques, and related data analytics.
  • Experience in SQL and other database, automation or business intelligence ( R, Python, R, Essbase, JavaScript).

Preferred qualifications:


  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in investigative work in a high data volume environment in the software, internet, media, or telecommunication industries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to translate technical solutions and methodologies to executive leadership.

About the job:


The Ads Finance Team provides a wide range of services including helping sales managers understand what drives their business and how to make priority allocation decisions based on data, forecasting, business growth, Profit and Loss management, ROI evaluations, financial modeling and data analysis.

Once we understand these drivers, we also help make priority allocation decisions based on data and our partnership throughout Google helps us thrive in this role, working with the business generation as well as the sales and product teams to coordinate agendas and find out about new product features, we'll also collaborate with BI to automate reports and increase efficiency.

We also provide key operational and strategic support on go to market and investment strategies, lifetime value of users, and a variety of other business intelligence initiatives.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.


Responsibilities:


  • Build robust, scalable data pipelines, integrated datasets, and insightful visualizations.
  • Own, drive and deliver multiple infrastructure workstreams, both on an ongoing and ad hoc basis.
  • Work with Engineering and Business Intelligence partners to help shape and drive the development of Google's data analytics infrastructure, including data integration, reporting, Machine Learning and analytics platforms.
  • Contribute to the development of the team's tools, skills, culture and impact for Google Customer Solutions and Google.
