Job Overview:

As a tax planner, your primary responsibility is to manage specific tax-related functions in addition to compliance-related activities.

You'll work closely with the senior members of the US teams to evaluate tax issues that come up during the financial planning process.


As a Tax Preparer, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals and businesses fulfill their tax obligations accurately and efficiently.

You will be responsible for gathering financial data, preparing tax returns, and providing tax-related guidance to clients while ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations.

Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and up-to-date knowledge of tax codes are essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and review individual, business, and corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
  • Conduct indepth tax research to stay current with tax code changes and provide informed advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation for tax preparation.
  • Identify taxsaving opportunities and strategies to help clients minimise tax liabilities and maximise refunds.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor in tax matters.
  • Stay uptodate with industry best practices and tax law changes, and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Assist in resolving taxrelated issues and respond to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Review and verify financial statements and other financial documents for accuracy.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ensure that all tax filing deadlines are met and maintain a system for tracking filing requirements.

Qualifications:


  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience as a tax preparer, preferably with a CPA firm.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in tax software and related tools (e.g., Intuit ProConnect Tax, Thomson Reuters UltraTax, etc.).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
