Project Background
Job Summary
The Field Coordinator will have to work in close coordination and under the supervision/guidance of the Project Coordinator and Divisional coordinator.
The Field Coordinator will play a critical role in achieving the project objectives and goals envisaged under the National Health Mission (NHM).
S/he will help the project implementation team in establishing systems for ensuring the efficient rollout of the Training Programme of eIMNCI across the state.
S/he will facilitate the Project activities and in preparation of various reports including the Data Analysis on a timely manner.
S/he will also be responsible for monitoring the field team & Health Care Worker.S/he will ensure effective and efficient supportive supervision at the primary care level.
Contract / Key Relationships
The Field Coordinator is required to work in close coordination with the Divisional Coordinator and Project Coordinator, DFY, and Supervise CHO/ANM for EIMNCI
Key Responsibilities
Your Core Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Acts as the focal point in the field for the IeDA project; and link between the field and IeDA project team
- Support the Project Coordinator / Tdh Training and Advocacy Officer to plan and organize IeDA ToT and IeDA-IMNCI training sessions for the HCWs
- Attend IeDA ToT(Training of Trainers) training as a participant as assigned by senior management of DFY and Tdh team
- Plan and organize meetings with local stakeholders (Community leaders; elected officials; administrative representatives) to discuss IeDA; and to seek necessary support from them for the implementation of the project.
- Coaching visits to HCFs for observations and feedback on the performance of HCWs; and to provide additional help on how to perform common actions correctly.
- Attend quarterly Quality Improvement (QI) sessions with ANMs and DHMTs (District Health

- Attending Monthly staff review and planning meetings and other training/orientation programs within the team
- Documentation of the field activities/testimonials and reporting to the Project Coordinator on a regular basis.
- Attending any other government/stakeholder meetings as deemed necessary for the IeDA project
- Reporting any critical issues or concerns to Project Coordinator/ Tdh IeDA team that needs immediate attention
- Responsible for any other duties as assigned by the Project Coordinator and HDC senior management
Qualification & Experience
Essential:
- Degree in BDS/ BHMS/ BSC Nursing/ Public Health with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in the field of Rural Health in a technical / leadership role.
- Good communication, planning, coordination, IT, and documentation capabilities
Preferred:
- Demonstrated understanding of the health administration setup in Jharkhand
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of maternal and child health programs and policies in India
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic program planning, implementation and Technical Assistance provision
- Knowledge of the basic principles and practices related to management of Digital Health ecosystem in the country
Skills & Competencies
- Proven ability to identify problem areas, analyze, plan, innovate and execute ideas, as well as impart knowledge and skills
- Ability to objectively analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative health program monitoring and evaluation data and has an eye for details. Communicate analyses effectively to Project Lead
- IeDA and other members in the team
- Ability to travel extensively to gather firsthand information about challenges faced by ground team in effective implementation of key solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, and ability to work seamlessly across levels
- Demonstrated learning agility, proactiveness, and openness to embrace new technologies at work.
- Ability to function effectively as a team member and respect diversity in a team
- Fluency in English and knowledge of local working language (Hindi) is essential.
