Job Description:

Primary objective is to provision, test and support TI's legacy Mainframe Applications/Utilities and make needed enhancements to IBM products via user exits and In-line mods.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing the following tasks:

Provisioning, testing, and supporting mainframe S/W for z/OS, JES and 3rd Party Products used to support the mainframe environment
Troubleshoot and resolve issues by following documented processes
Update process and support documentation as needed
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Mainframe products based on monitoring
Responsible for documenting and escalating tickets/abends as needed

Desired Skills: 0-2 years of experience providing support in an IT environment

Skills could include:

IBM JES2 and/or JES3 support experience
IBM Mainframe skills such as JCL, HMC, HSM, TSO, ISPF, Netview, etc.
Assembler programming
Rexx programming
SQL, DB2 and/or DLI database programming
Demonstrated analytical problemsolving skills
Effective customer service skills
Selfmotivating
Independent thinking
Process oriented
Good time management and communications skills
Must be able to work in a small group environment and be able to coordinate efforts with other groups.
Programming background in additional languages such as Cobol, Java, Python, C/C++ would be considered a plus
