This role is a great opportunity join our EG SEO Automation & Testing team, which is working to design and build Automation products that dynamically and efficiently provide the right information to travelers, while driving substantial growth in organic search traffic (SEO) and overall profitability through the synergistic use of Data, AI, and Technology.

Success in this role is fueled by your innovative contributions to our automation products. You'll be instrumental in advancing machine learning methodologies to tackle complex business challenges. Your crucial skills include independently assessing model performance, crafting end-to-end solutions, and effectively communicating compelling rationales.

Your proficiency in refining and optimizing practices, methodologies, and tools for the SEO team is pivotal for driving continuous improvement.


What you'll do:


  • You will write code that is clean, maintainable, optimized, modular with good naming conventions and in a way that enables efficient and accurate translation into a data pipeline.
  • You will modify/adapt models and techniques to suit business needs.
  • You will independently conduct proper model performance evaluation without help.
  • You will build an endtoend design of one step model based on detailedunderstanding of business requirements, includingapproach, choice of algorithm and data sources.
  • You will seek relevant academic papers and experience to point out strengths and weaknesses of current models and recommend more sophisticated designs when needed.
  • You will communicate a compelling rationale and narrative to peers and partners.
  • You will frame challenging business problems as a data science problem and concrete set of tasks.
  • You will leverage others' skills, knowledge, and expertise effectively in problem solving and delivering impact.
  • You will manage stakeholders with frequent communication, expectation management, meeting deadlines and minimizing surprises.
  • You will manage the backlog well, including across large crossfunctional teams. Deliver projects to maximize business impact coordinated with wider business timing.

Who you are:


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, engineering, operations research, data science or similar 6+ years of experience in industry or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain multiple data science project/product in production environments.
  • Extensive experience and excitement with one or more of the following: advanced statistical techniques for A/B testing, methods for experimental design, observational causal inference, or quasiexperimental analysis
  • Intermediate to Strong proficiency with Python / R and SQL.
  • You understand the concepts and steps involved in working with realworld large data sets: from domainspecific problem understanding, data preparation, travelrelated data processing, data integration, data structures for ML, data pipelining, data modeling, and AI/ML algorithms; strong data science knowledge and skills.
  • You have working and/or theoretical knowledge on NLP and Transformers
  • You have proven knowledge of ML techniques such as Neural Networks, XGBoost, Bayesian methods, clustering, decision trees, random forests, NLP, etc., excellent grasp of statistical concepts and methods.
  • You have a passion for solving problems and finding patterns and insights within structured and unstructured data
