Experience in engaging with senior leadership and determining ways to optimize the IT Platforms & Infrastructure
Proficient in one or more scripting languages (preferably Python, Shell)
Experience in both Relational and nonrelational databases (MongoDB)
Strong communication and collaboration abilities in addition to technical depth
Conceptual, logical data models and physical database design using tools like Erwin, PGAdmin, Visio, UML
Hands on experience in SQL and procedural languages (i.e. PL/SQL, T-Sql, PL/PgSql)
Data migration
Homogenous and heterogeneous e.g. MongoDB to PostgreSQL with tools like Goldendale, Ora2PG
Database backup (physical and logical) and recovery strategies
High availability and disaster recovery principle i.e. physical and logical standby databases, server clustering, mirroring, replication, sharding
Performance tuning i.e. database initialization parameter tuning, database tuning, query and Pl/Sql tuning
Database security, database hardening, data encryption at rest and at fly
Implementing normalized and deformalized star and snowflake schema.
Architecture experience with at least two RDBMS engines Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL
Architecture experience with at least one NoSQL engines MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Pouch DB, HBase, Memcache, Orient DB
Experience with data migration strategies for heterogeneous and cloud migration
Experience leading software engineering teams (e.g. setting technical direction, mentoring junior engineers, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications &

Required Skills:

Solid experience on database architecture experience in MongoDB/ MySQL/ PostgreSQL open-source database.- Architecture and Capacity planning for MongoDB/ MySQL/ PostgreSQL clusters.

Implementing on-premise monitoring, Deployment, DR and backup solution.- Focused on architecting NoSQL databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Cassandra database.- Extensive experience with JavaScript, Ruby, and Python in Linux, UNIX, and Windows environments.- Extensive experience in developing Map-Reduce programs and aggregation frameworks using JavaScript's.- Full life cycle experience in highly secure, extremely large-scale deployments of very high volumes of critical data with extensive security.- Extensive knowledge of Web development, from concept through implementation and optimization. Responsible for most of the view/controller changes, and model/database integration with other members of the team.- Proficiency in multiple databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.- Applied skills in software development, architecture, design, and support for new and existing products.

Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall development environments.- Fast learner, can quickly incorporate and implement new procedures with efficiency and accuracy.- Skilled in troubleshooting with good organizational and interpersonal skills.- Team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead.

Self-motivated individual with exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills.- Exceptional ability to collaborate with team members for code and design reviews.

Self-motivated worker with a strong focus on business goals and end-user experience.- Extensive experience in database optimization and Query tuning- Extensive experience in deploying, managing and developing MongoDB clusters.
