Responsibilities for têxtile designer

  • Brand Concept
  • Actively participates in creating and presenting art trend and concepts to Design and Merchant partners


  • Textile Product Design

  • Integrates hand and computer skills to create original designs, illustrations, graphics and prints exclusive to Target for assigned brands that achieve overall creative objective
  • Development
  • Collaborate with Technical, Sourcing, and Global partners to ensure têxtile designs are producible and meet set price points
  • Develop an understanding of business and assortment strategies
  • May participate in project analysis to facilitate continuous process improvements, manage resources efficiently, and optimize all aspects of the têxtile development process
  • Interact and develop relationships with Product Designers, Technical, Merchant, Sourcing, and Color Office to exchange ideas, leverage expertise and streamline the têxtile design process
  • Seasoned Textile Designers generally have larger or more complex divisions or business segments to support and generally have a higher proficiency and expertise in category
  • Collaborate with Design Managers to identify artwork and color palettes for
  • 4year degree in têxtile design, engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Industrial sewing experience or educational equivalent

Qualifications for têxtile designer

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic or Textile Design
  • Must be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and NedGraphics
  • Must have a keen eye for graphic art placement
  • Kaledo-U4ia version 7 proficiency in knits, wovens and print module
  • Ability to construct a woven as a swatch
  • Bachelor's Degree in Design (graphics), or equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary:
₹90, ₹100,000.00 per month
