Responsible for the shipping and documentation activities
Duties & Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Execution of outbound deliveries processes across SAP ERP
- Perform all relevant activities in an integrated outbound process with transportation planning in SAP TM
- Managing the seamless movement of the consignments to the destination.
- Liaising with Port authorities & customs officials, monitoring compliance to regulatory requirements, and maintaining requisite papers & documents.
- Prepare, package, document and deliver outgoing materials.
- Create work schedules and procedures for their team
- Resolve questions or concerns from employees and customers
- Prepare and send out invoices to freight forwarders and transporter.
- Discuss and negotiate rates with new or existing forwarder and local transporter.
- Issue detailed shipping instructions to their team
- Follow up on shipments to ensure they were delivered correctly.
- Maintaining packing materials inventory, raising PR for packing materials, planning boxes and follow up with purchase Team.
- GST and compliance knowledge requirement for day today's activities.
- Incoming materials arranging transportation pick up across the India and follow up for deliveries with transporter.
- Providing analytical support in order to contribute to the Lean Value stream methodology by implementing the tools and measures. Managing the export operations, keeping compliance with custom laws, notifications, tariffs,
- Handling of reexport, merchant trade, LC, SEZ documentations
- Verifying quotes of freight forwarder and transporter. Quality Control, Material Arrangement and Export-Import documentation of commercial goods. Detail-Oriented Logistician with a sharp eye for renovations and modern logistic practices.
- Verifying Transporter bills with given quote and forwarding to Finance team.
- Planning and managing logistics, transportation, and customer services requests. Implementing Standard Operating Procedures of packing within the shipping team members.
What you'll definitely need
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Any Graduate
- Work Experience 2 to 4 years of experience in a manufacturing company working on SAP
