Description

Sometimes known as buyers or purchasing agents, purchasers buy goods, tools, and equipment for their own company. Purchasers work full-time, doing market research, inventory monitoring, and various other duties within the office.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain strong working relationships with our vendors

Procurement of Packing material (Can, drum, sticker, corrugated box, PET bottle)

Preparing purchase order

Processing Indents for current vendor

Inviting quotation for indent

Quotation comparison

Negotiations

Forwarding the same to the heads

Issue purchase order.

Forwarding it to the vendors

Follow up for timely delivery

Vendor development

Conducting market survey (Field survey & internet survey)

Sourcing new vendors for existing and new products

Finalizing new vendors for existing and new products

Maintain healthy relationship with vendor and suppliers

Vendor management

Timely vendor payment

Maintaining vendor database of all the vendors

Return of rejected material and obtaining replacement or refund.

Payment forwarding to the vendors

Filling & documentation

Responsible for proper documentation as well as proper filling of all related documents

Coordination with plant

Coordination with plant

Coordination with Store department

Coordination with transporters & tracking material.

Maintain complete updated purchasing records / data and pricing the system.

Skills:
In-depth knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory and supply management systems. Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with mínimal supervision. Strong organizational skills, a good understanding of sourcing and the ability to maintain vendor relationships.
