Udayan Care is a, Public Charitable Trust, which has been working for the quality care of deserving children and women

for the last 27 years. Udayan Care works to empower vulnerable children, women and youth, in 36 cities across 15

states of India.

Udayan Shalini Fellowship

The Udayan Shalini Fellowship programme of Udayan Care is a unique academic excellence and personality

development programme for deserving and talented girls from weak socio-economic background aiming to turn them

into empowered and dignified women or Shalinis.

Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it goes beyond being a usual scholarship programme by not only supporting higher

education but also providing regular mentoring and leadership development and inculcating a sense of social

responsibility to the selected talented girls.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall - Operational & Administrative

  • Develop a deep understanding of the goals, objectives, and elements of the USF Programme
  • Serve as representative of the USF programme to ALL constituencies: students, parents, mentors, volunteers,
NGO's, school principals, and teachers.

  • Drive the implementation of the key initiatives of the program
  • Connect with local NGO's and schools to source forms of eligible potential beneficiaries.
  • Administer written tests, conduct interviews, and organize home visits to select new batches of Shalini's
  • Consolidate monthly reports of the Udayan Shalini Fellowship programme
  • Organize and manage large and small group workshops, social service activities and annual residential
camps for Shalinis and build awareness about these activities to ensure attendance

  • Attend Shalinis workshop twice/thrice a month on weekends
  • Maintain Shalinis progress and assist in the assessment of educational status of Shalinis
  • Help Shalinis to become successful
  • Data compilation of Udayan Shalini Fellowship programme
  • Maintain records of personal details of all Shalinis, Mentors, volunteers, and details of all activities conducted
  • Prepare and submit weekly / monthly / quarterly / annual reports as required by Core Committee, Head Office,
and Donors

  • Prepare and submit monthly expense reports
  • Communicate with Shalinis, parents, mentors, ngos's and schools as required
  • Travel to Head office for training or to attend review meetings (annualy)

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out any additional duties and projects assigned by the Convener and the core team members of the local

Chapter, Head of the Department, or the Managing Trustee of Udayan Care or H.O.


SKILL SETS REQUIRED

  • Prior Exposure/Education in social sector is preferred
  • Peoples person and team player
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi
  • Good knowledge of Computers
  • MS Office
  • MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Social media skills would be an added advantage

Salary:
₹12, ₹15,000.00 per month
