About the Role

A machine learning engineer (ML engineer) is a professional in the field of information technology who specializes in the development of self-contained artificial intelligence (AI) systems that automate the usage of prediction models.

The AI algorithms capable of learning and making predictions are designed and built by machine learning engineers (ML).

Key Responsibility

Establish the advantage of using data science in various facets of SME lending, including (but not restricted to) credit scorecards & portfolio monitoring frameworks, business insights, campaign management, propensity and pricing
Lead design for database and data pipeline suited to the end use
Creating ML deployment architecture
Manage governance and quality of data
Creating and managing data pipelines for modelling purposes
Create model usage strategies for credit underwriting
Drive external partner engagements (such credit bureaus/ fintech platforms)
Demonstrated track record of having applied data science methods to solving business problems
Strong handson experience in building and deploying predictive models and knowledge of global best practices
Experience in BFSI is a big advantage
Excellent problemsolving skills
Experience of managing direct reports/ project delivery/ creating sales pitches /presenting to prospective clients
Managing cross functional stakeholders at senior levels
Experience of having managed projects with external consultants/ credit bureaus/ rating agencies/ other vendors
High proficiency in at least one of SAS + Python
Strong academic background in statistical methods
Strong hands on experience in model development and monitoring
Familiarity and knowledge of data structures and schema
