Job Description for Digital Character Designer

Key Responsibilities:

Character Conceptualization and Design:

Develop unique and engaging characters that align with the educational goals and themes of our textbooks.
Create character sketches, concepts, and final illustrations in a variety of poses and expressions.
Maintain consistency in character design across different textbooks and educational materials.
Ensure highquality, polished final illustrations that meet the company's standards.
Work closely with writers, content developers, and other designers to ensure characters enhance the learning experience.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for characterdriven educational content.
Incorporate feedback from the team to refine character designs.
Make necessary adjustments to characters based on usability and educational effectiveness.
Prepare and deliver digital files in required formats and resolutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field.
Proven experience in digital character design, preferably in an educational or children's content context.
Proficient in digital illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant tools.
Strong portfolio showcasing character design skills, creativity, and versatility.
Excellent understanding of colour theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Detailoriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Passion for education and a keen interest in creating content that enhances learning experiences.
