- ****RESPOSIBILITIES:

1. Carry out planning and survey to identify and implement of trending styles and ideas in construction of furniture.


2. Interact with designers team to obtain information as regards their specification and preference for a project.


3. Proffer recommendation on appropriate furniture designs and styles considering costs and styles.


4. Provide cost estimate of material required for the construction of wooden fixtures.


5. Select suitable wood type as well as other material needed for construction work.


6. Create custom wood works used in the crafting of fine furniture units.


7. Knowledge of all types of furniture fixtures work.


8. Expertise in upholstery wood types and polish work.


9. Ensure the regularity of wood work by carrying out smoothening and various operation using plans and staining materials.


10. Conduct studies on classic woodwork to attempt a reinvention or reconstruction of such designs.


11. Take measurements to establish furniture dimensions during the design or construction of wooden structures.


12. Cut and shape wood materials to obtain components for a furniture units.


13. Assemble and join wood components with the aid of nails, glue and hammer to form a complete structure.


14. Requisition materials and supplies.


15. Prepare production and daily work progress reports.


SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of secondary school is usually required.
  • Experience as a furniture and fixtures assembler, wood working machine operator, cabinet maker or furniture finisher is usually required.

7 to 10 years experience in furniture construction with at least 5 plus years in a leader or in a similar position.


  • Proven ability to supervise up to 10-20 technician.
  • Ability to effectively supervise skilled workers.
  • Ability to interpret and work from furniture drawings, plans and blueprints.
  • Ability to make and project material required and labor estimates.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with supervisors, subordinates and vendors and teams.
  • Skills in the use and care of standard tools and equipment of the carpentry cabinet making, all types of furniture and wood working trades.

Salary:
₹14, ₹22,224.80 per month


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • New Delhi, Delhi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Higher Secondary(12th Pass) (preferred)

Experience:


  • Furniture design: 7 years (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (preferred)
