Your Role and Responsibilities


Network security will be responsible for leading a team with a special focus on
NetworkSecurity & Data center network** This will include the Build and Run functions i.e., build the solution and then run the solution through its life/contract, you will work closely with the Hosting solutions infrastructure management engineering Tribe.

The Engineering Tribe will be responsible for 'RUN delivery' for all existing and new customer solutions in EU and Commercial environments and the team will be 'self-supporting' in being able to operationally support the platforms and tools that enable the teams to deliver these customers services.

The Team Leader will work closely with the Project Manager, Technical project manager, for Enhancement and on-boarding of new capability and customers networks i.e., Platforms, Products and SMI tooling into RUN.

You will also be involved in deploying, configuring, troubleshooting and operational maintenance of large-scale Hosting Data center which includes Router, Switch, Load balancers, proxies, IDS/IPS and Firewall deployments to address client business requirements.

You are expected to work on Networking and Network security products or solutions based on any vendor hardware with little or minimum support from superiors.

Ability to work in teams and provides guidance to team members giving technical support for customers during software and hardware upgrades.

At times, must be able to lead the support and solution delivery in the area of expertise.

Responsibilities
Ability to understand and align to the changing business needs. Ability to think and act on outstanding ways in solving customer's technology challenges and help achieve their business outcomes. Ability to work as the technical specialist for troubleshooting and as a member of technical team in key engagements.

  • Should be Well versed in Network Data / Security Domains and Data Center.
  • Manage Incidents and projects to be distributed among appropriate team/team members.
  • Ability to grasp complex issues to arrive at optimal solutions.
  • Strong ethics and integrity
  • Performs capacity planning on a regular basis to identify bottlenecks and mitigate such risks through working with Manager.
  • Guides the team members in resolving critical and complex issues.
  • Review and Approve Change Requests with proper impact assessment.
  • Monitor Change management processes through Service desk tool like SNOW & Remedy.
  • Reestablishing Affected Services through workarounds/Problem fixing.
  • Root cause analysis on reported Network Incidents.
  • Analyzing and training the team on the various technical topics based on the gaps found in the team.
  • Focus and work on service improvement plans which would help build an efficient process.
  • Troubleshoot/Diagnose network issues escalated from the L1/L2/L3 engineers and driving satisfactory resolution of the issues.
  • Ensure consistent customer satisfaction.
  • Will work with critical customer accounts and handle escalation requests.
  • Contributes to the process of capturing, developing, sharing, and effectively using organizational knowledge and lead knowledge management in Security Services.
  • Participates and works enthusiastically to drive continuous improvement as a key practice.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong knowledge in Data center Switching and storage technologies.
  • Indepth knowledge and practical understanding of Networking concepts OSI, TCP and IP related L3 protocols (DNS, DHCP, IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP).
  • Indepth understanding of operational and troubleshooting knowledge on SWITCHING Technologies like
    STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP,VLAN, **IPv4, IPv6,VXLAN, VTP8021.Q etc
  • Knowledge of Cisco switching Platforms
    Nexus 2K,3K,7K, Nexus 9k, Nexus 6k, Nexus 5k, Nexus 3K

  • Indepth working knowledge and troubleshooting of IP routing and network protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, spanning tree, multicast etc.)
  • Proven experience with data networks including physical layer infrastructure, servers, LAN/WAN hardware, software, data transmission facilities and interconnecting devices.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot various network problems using utilities like nslookup, traceroute, ping, net stat and packet sniffers like wire shark, tcp dump etc.
