We need faster, more flexible architecture to allow us to provide outstanding customer experience.

This role will be responsible for helping us understand, design, architect, exploit and innovate across all aspects of our Digital landscape.

As we move further into an agile development and delivery model, part of this role will provide the direction on standard patterns and guard rails to balance common technology services with speed to market.

Optimisation of Architecture strategy will pivot from siloedbased project approach to worldleading platform capabilities, providing both the broad and deep design patterns along with practical steps that will acceleration BTs Digital Transformation.

What I'll be doing - your accountabilities

Develop 5 year horizon capability roadmaps for the Integration domain, delivering clear and realiseable value to BT
Keep up to date with all new services from our Integration technology vendors and establish how they can be used within the business
Define and communicate clear and appropriately detailed design patterns for simplification, abstraction and service orchestration
Define and develop a wide Integration & Orchestration capability strategy working with the various brands and business units in BT.
Establish standards, policies and procedures as needed to ensure consistency and compliance within a governance framework.

Ability and experience of driving complex technology transformation and execution at pace.

Proactive problemanalysis and designthinking skill and capability to offer up innovative ideas to the business and others in BT.

Deep understanding of enterprise API/Service management, governance and quality control, exploitation strategies.

Experience you would be expected to have

Mandatory 5+ years' experience as an Enterprise Architect or equivalent Digital/Technology strategic role.
Mandatory experience in running lighttouch governance processes in large organisations.
Mandatory deep experience of Application Integration models, patterns, techniques and approaches, including SOA, API, Federation, Microservices, Streaming and Integration as a Service.
Mandatory deep experience of Data Integration models, patterns, techniques and approaches, including ETL, Event Streaming, Data Fabric
Mandatory experience of Architecture Frameworks including TOGAF, and their relevance to the practice of Enterprise Architecture. TOGAF certification not essential.
Mandatory experience of broad range of business, data, systems, and technology architecture and due diligence experience.
Mandatory proven leadership ability across direct, virtual and peer teams.
Preferred experience of agile product ownership and technical depth particularly around servicebased architecture.
