Your Role and Responsibilities


IBM is seeking highly motivated individuals with comprehensive commercial procurement and client facing or consulting experience to join our team of procurement professionals.

Specifically, we are looking for procurement professionals to join IBM's Global Procurement team in support of IBM Procurement Services business area, servicing IBM's external clients.


Responsibility:

  • Proven experience in Procurement Strategic Sourcing exposure globally across regions,
  • Good experience in Stakeholder Management and Commodity wise analytics and strategy.
  • Categorization of Suppliers in terms of preferred, nonpreferred, strategic, etc.,
  • Support the tail spend management by giving guidance
  • Should have expertise on negotiating agreement clauses and propose acceptance/nonacceptance to Legal as inputs in concluding final draft agreement
  • Savings target as per client agreement needs to be managed and achieved
  • Ensure of procurement bidding process compliance is followed and support audit requirements on need basis.
  • Supplier performance management by building strong supplier relationships, manage supplier assessment scorecards, implement & monitor ongoing supplier performance metrics, and drive cost reductions & continuous improvements.
  • Recording of savings in respective tool with proper documentation and bidding process document to be maintained and exhibited on need basis
  • Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, Supply Chain Management, Procurement Market Analysis, Commercial Terms & Conditions
  • Translate client requirements into actionable sourcing plans
  • Plan, organize, and analyse data to make decisions or to build recommendations on sourcing strategies with implications for vendor selection, through Total Cost of Ownership analysis
  • Document and manage supplier spend, and supplier cost, delivery & quality targets using established commodity strategies.
  • Negotiate and manage payment terms to the corporate standards, ensure suppliers are paid timely, and intervene to resolve payment delays promptly.
  • Analyse and solve complex problems important to the success of the organization
  • Execute competitive bid events, benchmarking projects
  • Analyse changing client/market conditions
  • Support sourcing projects based on client requirements
  • Working closely with Strategic Sourcing/Category Manager
  • Develop cost saving proposals including makeversus buy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria
  • Maintain ongoing assessment of sourcing risks and proposed alternatives
  • Implement corporate process standards and concepts to achieve optimum benefit.
  • Can develop and implement recommendations, demonstrates initiative, and contributes to problem solving. Direct responsibilities for operational measurements. Carries out variety of complex activities according to plan within broader area of responsibility, analyses problems. Decision making affecting own work.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 89 years in Procurement Tactical Buying, Sourcing, Strategic Sourcing/Category Management
  • ERP: Ariba, SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Taulia, Scout, Fieldglass, JIRA, Power BI, FDTP, Sapphire, etc.

  • Relevant Experience in MS office.
  • Analytical skills, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problemsolving abilities.
  • Good communication skills, able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, Stakeholders and Suppliers.
  • Perform time management, priorities tasks and achieve set targets.
  • Customer satisfaction skills / client facing skills.
