Your Role and Responsibilities

Identity sub-domain within CIO organization is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team of expert Identity and Access Management (IAM) engineers.

The role will be reporting directly to the Identity Engineering Services Business Manager and will be responsible for providing IAM services to mainframe servers required for Japan business units.


  • RACF Administration (creation, change / update and delete of userids, groups and profiles of systems
  • Primary controls)


  • Secondary Controls

  • Employment Verification and Privilege Revalidation
  • Health Checking Execution (RACF)
  • RACF DB Cleanup and Maintenance
  • Health Check, Primary Controls, Secondary Controls, Manual revalidation.
  • Perform Preparation for annual access revalidation.
  • Perform Privilege Reconcile (RACF, NODES, USS OSR, OSR, SURROGATE, DB2, NETVIEW)
  • Perform TSS related operations such as user information bulk update, log retrieval.
  • Perform RACF group registration / change / deletion.
  • Perform Resource registration / change / deletion.
  • Perform Privilege grant / deletion (NETVIEW, RACF, DB2, MQ, SDSF, IMS, USS, HSM)
  • Perform Access Management against resource profile.
  • Perform Surrogate user registration / deletion.
  • Perform Production Library registration / change / deletion.
  • Responsible to analyze, approve or reject the requests regarding RACF and UID0 attributes.
  • Responsible to approve requests of resources that we own in the systems.
  • Process management (focusing on Mainframe related procedure documentation, revision, and improvement)
  • Inquiry support (from enduser or within the Japan IAM team)
  • Communication and coordination with global team
  • Perform TSS related operations. Audit support and Application DR test support
  • Available during Japan business hours to perform:
  • In this position, you will work on user access management for mainframe system. They mainly deal with user ids and their access management. Here we will use mainly the following tools to do that.
  • Access Hub.
  • IRT (IBM Registration tool)
  • TSS (Total Security System)
  • TSS has main three features.
  • Userused authorization registration
  • Resource registration
  • User ID Registration
  • JCL (Job control language which is programs written in mainframe for automating certain tasks)
  • Here the Mainframe team is the one supporting IAM operations on zOS platform, and Distributed team is the one supporting IAM operations on UNIX platform.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in user access management for mainframe system.
  • Exposure to deal with user ids and their access management.
  • JCL (Job control language which is programs written in mainframe for automating certain tasks)
  • Experienced in Z/OS, RACF
  • Understanding of DB2 and JCL
  • Experience in Identity Access Management
  • 24x7 On Call support and Audit Support
  • Engaged to help in complex issues.
  • Solve RACF Consultancy issue.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Communicate (Speak/Read/Write) in Japanese Language
  • Identity and Access Management Process
