RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Highly skilled in preparing traditional South Indian dishes
  • Creating menus that reflect authentic South Indian cuisine while also offering variety and innovation to appeal to modern tastes.
  • Indepth knowledge of South Indian spices, herbs, and ingredients, including their traditional uses and potential substitutions
  • Ensuring that all food preparation meets safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
  • Supervising kitchen staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth operations during service hours.
  • Ability to innovate and create new dishes while staying true to the authenticity of South Indian cuisine.
  • Effective communication with kitchen staff, management, and sometimes customers, to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Being able to adapt recipes and cooking techniques to accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences of customers.
Managing time effectively to meet service demands, prep work, and other kitchen responsibilities


Qualifications:

  • 3 5 years experience working in South Indian cuisinefocused kitchens or restaurants.
  • Formal culinary training from a recognized culinary school or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of regional variations within South Indian cuisine.
  • Familiarity with traditional cooking methods and equipment used in South Indian cuisine.
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation practices is often required.
  • Strong passion for South Indian cuisine and a commitment to preserving its authenticity while also embracing innovation.

₹10, ₹25,000.00 per month
