A) Key Result Areas/Accountabilities:

  • Die Repair
(To produce new dies to meet regular market requirement.) -To repair all dies as per the feed back from operation.

  • Coordination with extrusion operations and planning team to ensure target production
  • To ensure availability of dies as per planning
  • Give feed back to design office to incorporate changes in the design as per repair done.
  • Revise repairing procedures to achieve higher productivity
  • Ensure proper die assembly on presses.
  • Maintain die failure, die scrap and die nitriding records.
  • Cost Reduction
(To implement effective utilization of resources to achieve minimum cost)-To reclaim worn out dies by re-engineering.

  • To incorporate correction as per feed back from production.
  • To regularly upgrade the repair process for the die life enhancement.
  • Monitor and improve die life through use of digital technologies and analytics projects
  • System Management and Digital & analytics projects
(To Implement systems and digital technologies for quality, productivity and efficiency improvement)-To implement and review quality system procedures. Maintain die failure, die scrap and die nitriding records.

  • Use of analytics to reduce die failure.
  • Develop skills in Digital Solutions, analytics for successful execution and developing a Data driven culture.
  • Safety.
(To ensure safe work practices and procedures at work place)-To ensure use of PPE at work place

  • To identify unsafe work condition and practices and take corrective action
  • Ensure safe handling of dies and related toolings.
  • Regular counseling of workmen to follow safe working procedures
  • People Development
(Build and develop skills of people to enable them to contribute effectively in operation.)

  • Develop people for die correction and multi skill activities
  • Periodic counseling of workmen for peaceful work environment.

Qualifications:

General Diploma


Minimum Experience Level:

12-18 Years
