    Summary role description:

    Hiring for a Procurement Leader - Aerospace Component Manufacturing, for a specialized aerospace parts manufacturer.

  • Title / Designation : Procurement Leader
  • Reporting to : Managing Director
  • Location: Chennai

    • Role & responsibilities:

  • Develop inventive and cost-effective procurement strategies.
  • Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Review existing contracts to ensure ongoing feasibility.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Approve purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  • Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term cost-saving.
  • Oversee and manage IT systems tracking shipments, inventory, and supply of goods.
  • Prepare procurement reports.

    • Candidate requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement leadership roles, with a minimum of 14 years of experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Proficiency in managing procurement budgets and promoting cost-saving initiatives.
  • Experience in risk assessment and contract management.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with IT systems for procurement management
