The role :
Product Owner


In this role you will manage user stories and ensure that the product backlog for the cross-functional Scrum teams is properly allocated, thereby supporting the successful outcomes for product definition, design, development, release, and support.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Collaborating closely with the members of the Scrum team on an ongoing basis, providing guidance and direction to the team as needed.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the customer's needs, and representing the customer's interests within the Scrum team.
  • Working with segment managers:
- to understand the business requirements, goals and requirements.
- to ensure that business requirements are translated to (technical) Epics, Themes, and User Stories.

  • Ensuring that user stories and defects in the product backlog are clear, complete, and prioritized, and actively managing/grooming the backlog on an ongoing basis.
  • Defining and explaining the business value, business acceptance criteria and acceptable limitations for user stories.
  • Able to answer and address any questions of the Scrum team. Setting priorities for the development team in line with business priorities incl. new functionalities, field issues, internal work (e.g. documentation, software refactoring)
  • Setting the expectation for delivery of new functionalities and participating in the creation of product release plans.
  • Approving and accepting sprint goals and holding the Scrum team accountable for meeting their goals and demonstrating it to the customer.
  • Providing daytoday tactical objectives, and providing quick, JIT decisions to systemlevel questions and defect triage.

Who we are looking for:


  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar level of education.
  • The following experience is required (can overlap):
  • 3-4 years of experience as a business analyst, product owner, or a similar role in which functional requirements are translated to technical user stories.
  • 23 years of experience in agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
  • 23 years experience in the software development lifecycle.
  • 46 years of development or testing experience
  • Experience in the Digital TV and OTT/IP domain is a must.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical issues.
  • Excellent allround communicator.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Advanced negotiation skills.
  • Proven leadership ability.
  • Selfmotivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks as delegated.
  • Teamplayer with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
