This job offers a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and lifecycle of Baxter's Renal Digital Solutions R&D portfolio.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Drive communications with customers and marketing to develop and refine user requirements.
  • Communicate design requirements and provide technical guidance to software developers, testers, and suppliers.
  • Ensure user needs are captured, quality requirements are met and technical risks are mitigated
  • Define, prioritize, and maintain product feature backlogs for implementation across multiple programs and releases
  • Lead the development and documentation of the product systems architecture and systems level design, including the decomposition of the system architecture and requirements into functional specifications.
  • Develop the Risk Management Plan and execute the Risk Management activities defined by the plan.
  • Manage integration of deliverables from design teams and external partners.
  • Resolve competing constraints between interrelated functions (engineering, clinical, regulatory, marketing, etc.) required to deliver the product to market.
  • Document traceability from requirements to verification activities, and from requirements to design entities.
  • Develop and maintain an effective and corroborative working relationship with internal and external development partners.
  • Provide leadership to effectively transition the product to production and ensure robust products and deployment processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field and 1012 years related experience. Prior experience in kidney dialysis a plus.
  • A solid technical understanding of the principles and procedures of software engineering (e.g. SDLC, IEC 62304, CMMI, Agile).
  • Have a proven track record of management/leadership effectiveness in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven ability to create results within budget, timeline, and product/project deliverables.
  • Desired: A demonstrated track record in regulated software development, preferably medical devices or other highly regulated products such as aviation software.
