About the Employer

Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined LOB-aligned (Line of Business-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital.


GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products.

The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions.

The current opening is within the US Wealth Management Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) in Bangalore which forms part of the CCB LOB within GF&BM India.

About the Role

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring /reporting which include key business metrics. This includes Revenues, Balances, Client, Headcount and expenses
  • Calculation and consolidation of the monthend results and the forecast for the remainder of the year
  • Participate in the global annual planning process which involves financial modeling, coordinating and consolidating submissions from CFO teams as well as preparing management presentations
  • Performing variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and presenting commentary to senior managers, explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets
  • Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possible.
  • Work with various Essbase addins and reporting databases to manage reporting changes
  • Contribute ideas around improving reporting capabilities and new projects
  • Helping design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management
  • Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of CA or an MBA in Finance is required
  • 5+ years of Finance experience, preferably in Financial Services industry
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills and with Positive attitude and demonstrate intellectual curiosity
  • Advanced excel skills with macro knowledge will be added advantage
  • Excellent organizational, management, both verbal & written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
  • Integrity in handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, and FP&A Teams.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues and stakeholders, desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically
