At the LTFS software delivery centre organization the PMO is in charge of creating procedures and best practices that will help operations - Go smoothly, Complete on time, Result in quality deliverables.

His/her focus is on the successful completion of projects and monitoring the impact and effectiveness of the procedures they outline.

The PMO is constantly looking for ways to - Enhance project execution & Increase efficiency.- PMO will work closely with the Business Head for the Software Delivery Centre.

Providing the ongoing monitoring through weekly & monthly dashboards, reporting and presenting to the management team. Also facilitating and collaborating with the team leads.


Key Responsibilities:

PMO is primarily responsible for providing management reports, establishing guidelines, and a governance framework:

  • Resource planning in projects.
  • Work planning and effort estimation.
  • Coordination of project manager / team leader.
  • Resource allocation and conflict resolution.
  • Maintenance and planning of skills.
  • Strategic capacity planning at portfolio level.
  • Ensure that the scope, goals, and deliverables of IT projects support business goals in collaboration with senior management.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project lifecycle.
  • Effectively communicate and manage expectations of PMO to project managers, owners, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
  • Manage consolidated view for all IT projects including milestones/deliverables.
  • Determine frequency and content of status reports from project managers, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas/mitigate project risks.
  • Effectively provide resource management support to ensure projects are completed ontime, onbudget.
  • Develop and communicate best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning, execution, project management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication, and key performance metrics.
  • Implementing and supporting continuous service improvements to the project management community
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise new project teams and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Manage program level Lessons Learned repository; attend Post Project Review meetings to identify key areas of improvement to be captured into the Lessons Learnt repository
