Subject Matter Expert - GL

YOUR JOB PURPOSE:

Monitors the timely and accurate delivery of end-to-end process of Financial Accounting. Supporting the role of TL and the whole FA operations. Coordination with Cross Center Expert Network and engages in and/or leads global process initiatives. Drives activities that are geared towards knowledge management, best-practice sharing and process.


YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provides support & guidance to the Senior Associates and Experts and is responsible for the tasks under his / her area of competence
  • Overall Support for all modules
  • SSF Monitoring (Backup)
  • BayJED Expert (Backup)
  • ICS Reviewer (Backup)
  • Follows up and helps on the resolution of issues (acts as the point of escalation)
  • Identifies process gaps and contributes to KPI achievement and process improvements
  • Solves complex problems and if possible, takes a new perspective on existing solutions
  • Ensures proper communication and collaboration with stakeholders
  • Actively participates and supports the Team Lead in alignment meetings
  • Discusses issues and KPIs that are below the Global Targets and identifies opportunities for improvement
  • Drives LEAN and Innovation activities of the team and of the group as a whole
  • Supports the Team Lead and Operations Manager in implementing operational activities
  • Supports the Team Lead in the review of Workflow Posting Analysis Postings and the handling of Quality Assurance Role in the account substantiation process via Trintech Tool
  • Acts as Officer-in-Charge in the absence of Team Lead
  • Promotes an active communication & partnering with other SSO processes
  • Active involvement in Cross-Center Expertise Network (CCEN) meetings and projects
  • Attends monthly CCEN Module Update meeting
  • Leads monthly FA-Wide Module Update meeting
  • Ensures process changes are documented timely and accurately
  • Coordinates with the different stakeholders in the preparation, update and review of specific documentation for the processes affected (i.e. perform and review ICS controls, review MyDoc Supporting Documents)
  • Monitors expiring process specific documentations and informs the group to perform necessary update
  • Prepares and conducts process specific trainings
  • Contributes to successful implementation of projects (global and local)
  • Perform tax accounting activities for Group Reporting and Local Reporting as applicable
  • Performs closing coordination tasks depending on team structure
  • Performs other tasks as required by the role

WHO YOU ARE:


  • B.Com/M.Com
  • At least 5 years professional experience in Accounting, Controlling, Taxes, Financial Analysis or similar fields.
  • Fundamental understanding of global accounting, controlling and tax processes and their point of intersection with other business processes.
  • Good level of knowledge of technical accounting, and financial reporting in a corporate environment according to IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, initiative and reliability.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity with some guidance and usage of sound judgement in making decisions.
  • Good communication skill and analytical thinking.
  • Good level of ability to establish and maintain a sustainable stakeholder network.
