Job Summary

Responsibilities:

l Meets and discusses with the Director to determine the production vision and takes a brief to grasp the production team's needs and specifications.

l Reviews shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes' value and contribution to continuity.

l Manipulates and edits film and video footage using modern editing techniques in a way that is invisible to the audience.

l Trims footage segments and puts together the rough project.

l Inserts dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.

l Improves video and sound quality using various video software.

l Ensures that the project follows a logical sequence and creates rough and final cuts for broadcasting with correct formatting and presentation.

l Consults with stakeholders from production to post-production process for best results.

l Continuously discovers and implements new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.

Education:

l Bachelor's degree in any field. Diploma in Mass Media-Entertainment or Film-making is preferred.

Experience:

l 2-10 yrs previous work experience as a Video Editor editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions.

l Solid experience with digital technology and demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio of completed film productions.

Knowledge & Skills:

l Professional mastery of video and audio editing software and programs (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve)

l Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects

l Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity

l Creative mind, storytelling and artistic skills

Competencies:

l Multi-tasking and ability to work towards several milestones on various projects simultaneously on a tight schedule.

l Excellent communication is required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation.

l Creativity in filmmaking and videography.

l Good collaboration skills with ability to collaborate well with other creative professionals to supply clients with top-notch finalized products.

l Conceptualization and visualization to understand the desired outcome of a project and translate ideas into complete projects.

Salary:
₹25, ₹50,000.00 per month

Schedule:
