Job Overview:

The Associate Piping Designer is an entry-level position, and their work is completed with close supervision and support. They work within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adhere to quality guidelines.

The Associate Piping Designer should have basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process and appropriate licenses/training certifications.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Gain an understanding of the Contract Scope of Work, specifications, schedule, and interdiscipline requirements
Extraction of lines from a 3D model
Tracking isometrics
2D drafting of various elements of piping design, including but not limited to:
checking comments on plot plans,

- piping drawings and
- equipment location drawings

Updating 3D Model by isometric checking

Essential Qualifications and Education:

Associates Degree Preferred
5+ years of experience preferred
ACAD or MicroStation and some 3D model knowledge
Some piping designs
Experience with shop and field support
