Job Description for STEM Teacher:

Position:
STEM Teacher


Location:
Ooty


Responsibilities:


Curriculum Development:

Design and develop comprehensive STEM curriculum that aligns with educational standards and caters to the needs of students at different grade levels.

Integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts into cohesive and engaging lesson plans.

Classroom Instruction:

Deliver effective and dynamic lessons, employing a variety of teaching techniques, such as lectures, group activities, projects, experiments, and demonstrations.

Encourage inquiry-based learning and critical thinking among students.

Technology Integration:
Utilize modern technology, computer software, and educational apps to enhance the teaching and learning experience. Encourage the use of technology tools for problem-solving, data analysis, and creative expression.

Assessment and Evaluation:
Regularly assess student progress and understanding through various formative and summative assessment methods. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding and performance.

Classroom Management:
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected. Set clear expectations for behavior and implement appropriate discipline when necessary.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other educators and professionals to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities, organize school-wide STEM events, and participate in professional development activities.


Parent Communication:

Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians, providing updates on student progress, areas for improvement, and opportunities for enrichment.


Safety and Compliance:
Ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all students during laboratory activities, experiments, and hands-on projects. Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.

Professional Development:

Stay current with the latest developments in STEM education, attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • A qualified teacher who is willing to work with a residential school and stay on campus.
  • Teaching certification or licensure as required by the school or district.
  • Strong knowledge of STEM principles and interdisciplinary teaching methods.
  • Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to excel in STEM fields.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching and learning.

Salary:
₹80, ₹90,000.00 per month
