Key areas of responsibility:

Ensures that Blood banking process and work are carried out in a timely and efficient manner


Main job Tasks;

  • To take the entire responsibility of the Blood Bank
  • To organize training and teaching programs for the team and document the same as per the NABH norms. (Ensure all staff has attended 50hrs of training in a year)
  • Ensure team is motivated & focused
  • Ensure policies and SOP are followed consistently and look for areas of opportunity.
  • To adhere to quality protocols as per NABH & NABB standards and maintain monthly reports
  • To adhere to infection control protocols and review & recommend for the changes if required.
  • To prepare the duty rooster of Team.
  • Reduce the absenteeism & attrition rate in the department
  • Participates in training programs.
  • Evaluates the work performance of the staff.
  • Improving patient satisfaction index
  • Set up a proper feedback system and maintain records of it and use the same for improving our services
  • Overall discipline and time and attendance of the staff
  • Will perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and control Blood Bank expenses wherever possible.
  • Reviews inventory to maintain optimal stock.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all Blood Bank personnel follow the established customer interaction protocols.
  • Obtain patient, doctor and nurse feedback to minimize customer complaints.

PROCESS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains departmental policies and procedures, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Ensure that patients receive the Blood and Blood products on time.
  • Ensures filing and maintenance of all required documents
  • Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
  • Ensures that Internal quality control and EQAS activities are performed in time
  • Assists in reviews and updates of all Blood Bank procedures
  • Assists in applicable accreditation related activities
  • Ensures that statutory obligations of the department are in place.

PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITY

  • Provides on the job orientation to Blood Bank staff and keeps them informed of the policies and procedures to be followed.
  • Ensures the continuing education of the Blood Bank staff
  • Evaluates the work performance of the staff.
  • Recommends leave and vacation schedules for the staff.
  • Counsels staff on personal and work problems.
  • Plans staff work assignments and schedules.
  • Provides Basic department orientation to new employees

Other Tasks ;

  • Maintain MIS and send reports periodically.
  • Controls cost and expenditure related to department stationery, telephone usage as well as minimizes wastage of electricity and water
  • Ensures that the NABH standardization process is in place as per the deadline

Salary:
Up to ₹40,400.26 per month
