Description
Responsibilities:
- Daily review of intraday exceptions to swiftly resolve breaks such as Standard settlement instruction mismatches, unmatched trade, STP breaks, etc to ensure timely matching and settlement.
- Resolution of unmatched trade settlement issues
- Ensure accurate settlement instruction setups for matching, trade STP break resolution, and partnering with various settlement teams to ensure timely settlement.
- Effectively partner with the onshore team in the trade flow to ensure upstream trade repair /remediate root causes, to enhance trade STP.
- Understanding of various global market settlement protocols, nuances and trade fail risk
- Participate and contribute to the various strategic initiatives, beyond BAU daily processing; keep improving and evolving processes and business architecture/Trade STP
- Review process metrics and SLA's
- Review work allocation strategies to ensure prioritization of risk, addressing of volumes within the available resourcing
- Strong product knowledge with strong communication to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of queries for the team. Strong multi tasking skills with multiple live Client, Trader, Sales interactions within short windows for resolution
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Daily hands processing expertise of daily unmatched trade exceptions, with minimum 4+ years of strong prematching, and market settlement knowledge of
Fixed Income Trades. Minimum 8 years relevant experience in Trade flow management - Knowledge of the front to back Operations process (including the key elements such as confirmations, allocation, settlement market conventions)
- Detailed Understanding of the end to end of the trade flow and associated risks / controls
- Extremely strong communication skills both verbal and written, leveraged to work collaboratively, explain, and challenge, as appropriate
- Strong team player and strong People manager to address dynamic business challenges/resourcing realignments. Strong problem solving skills, control focus, and project management skills
- Technical build skills (macros/ alteryx, etc) would be an added advantage (optional)
