Your Role and Responsibilities

The Content Writer helps us connect with our audience through the written word. They must always be curious and searching for new content trends, while remaining data driven.

They may also provide editorial oversight, including checks for grammar, clarity, consistency and adherence to the IBM brand and our voice.

They are the wordsmith behind telling compelling stories for IBM marketing.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to write and edit engaging content
  • Filter out average stories to find the stories that matter
  • Experience of creating digital content with young tech audience would be a bonus
  • Create and edit content to IBM standards and perform quality reviews on content
  • Develop a deep understanding of IBM products and services
  • Understand IBM business development strategies, brands, industries, and key market plays
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism or related field
  • At least 6+ years of experience in Content Marketing and Writing
  • Demonstrate oral and written communication skills, including a portfolio of work
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a teambased environment and facilitate group discussions
  • Detailoriented and able to quickly learn different industry terminology
  • Ability to work under pressure especially under tight deadlines
  • Proven time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Comfortable with technology and IT wordage Copywriting experience required on eDMs/Social/ Abstracts etc. You should be comfortable creating short and longer format assets.

  • FIELD OF STUDY: JOURNALISM, ENGLISH, BUSINESS, MARKETING, AND/OR COMMUNICATION
