Position description:

Must be familiar with all fibre quality testing processes and must know the operations of OTDR/Spectral Analyzer/CD/PMD instruments and technology provided by Photon Kinetics or PE

Primary Responsibilities:

Working in all three shifts & managing shift operations.
Supervision of all fibre quality testing related activities.
Daily planning of the department and work allocation.
Supervision of all operators.
Training to the team members as and when required.
Complies with safety and operation instruction.
Keep all the machines in good operation status.
Ensure that the production targets are met as per plan with specified yield & quality.
Ensure GRR and calibration of instruments as per schedule
Submit regular reports on performance & progress.
Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvement.
Ensure that the Production entries done in ERP

Additional Responsibilities:

WIP control & management
Identification and reporting of Hazard and Risk
Participating in safety audit/Safety Inspections/Gemba Walk
Inspection and ensuring healthlyness of Fire fighting systems like Fire extinguishers, Fire Hydrant.
Reporting of Near miss/Injures

- )Identifying and segregating the hazardous waste from the source

Ensuring and wearing of recommended personal protective equipment(PPE)
Ensuring all the team members have received safety induction training and other job safety trainings.
Taking additional responsibility for improving the EHS culture in the Organization.

Educational qualifications preferred

Required Skills:

Handson experience with fiber quality testing processes and must know the operations of OTDR/Spectral Analyzer/CD/PMD instruments and technology provided by Photon Kinetics or PE
