    Job Description

    You will work with the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on the shared full stack ownership of our medical imaging of services and technology areas.

    To be successful in this role, you will have a deep understanding of the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. You will be responsible for designing and delivering the critically important stack, emphasizing security, resiliency, scale, and performance. You will have authority over end-to-end performance and operability.

    Collaborate with development teams to define and implement improvements in service architecture. Communicate technical aspects of services and technology areas and guide development teams to enhance our Oracle Health Hosting Imaging products with premier capabilities. Grasp and convey the scale, capacity, security, performance attributes, and requirements of the service and technology stack.

    Responsibilities

    • Service Ownership - Part of the Medical and Document Imaging Product Engineering team, with a focus on full stack ownership of services and technology areas alongside development partners.
    • Ownership Scope - Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of the production services. Ensure services are mission critical, with a focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. You are the ultimate authority for the performance and operability of the services.
    • Service Design - Collaborate with development teams to enhance service architecture. Articulate technical characteristics of services, dependencies, and guide teams in adding premier capabilities to the Oracle Cloud service portfolio.
    • Operations Engineering - Understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, and performance attributes of the services. Be an expert in all aspects of the service stack.
    • Automation - A deep understanding of automation and orchestration principles, with a focus on automating tasks and eliminating technical debt.
    • Prevention - Work on preventing issues from reoccurring after expertly resolving them.
    • Technical Experts - Act as the partner concern point for complex issues. Have a deep understanding of service topology, dependencies, and define mitigations.
    • Broad Interests - Understand the impact of product architecture decisions on distributed systems. Driven by professional curiosity and a desire to develop a deep understanding of services and technologies.
    • Represent SRE - Proactive, customer-focused, organized, and a good communicator. Represent Cloud products and engineering effectively.
