Introduction:
This role sits within the COO Finance and Business Management (F&BM) function, reporting to the TBM Data Management Lead. The Cost Transparency & Insights office is a transformational structure.


It is a role that will support the way that the Bank measures IT performance and plans future investment, proactively delivering data driven insights to identify opportunities for optimisation and efficiencies.

In that capacity, it is a role that will enable increased cost performance and strengthening revenue, through making IT abler to deliver cost-effective services that rapidly adapt to the changing nature of business demands and the regulatory environment.


The process elements in this role are also fundamental to success, so experience in enterprise business change and process improvement will help drive the right outcomes by aligning cost transparency insights with the teams able to use this to strengthen the Bank.

The analyst will support various transformational programmes, primarily centred around driving efficiencies, productivity and optimisation across the Technology landscape.

What will you be doing?

  • Data & Service Management 40%
  • Establish and track a set of KPIs for Technology performance, cost and consumption
  • Proactively drive efficiencies identified through Tech outputs and identify opportunities where the Bank is able to drive optimization
  • Work with the Technology stakeholders and consumers of Technology services to educate on the drivers and levers they can pull to increase Technology value and reduce costs
  • Manage services end to end while getting an understanding of data content and how it connects to the Business model
  • Review and manage various services volumetric templates along with control KPI's with supporting data
  • Support Reporting Governance and Change Control Activities 20%
  • Run governance and control disciplines around the Tech reporting including its inputs and outputs
  • Support the Operational Lead with compliance and delivery of reports and insights
  • Ensure right level of engagement with stakeholder interfaces to enable inputs & outputs cadence
  • Ensure change control including validation, analysis, prioritisation, approval and implementation of reporting change requests
  • Support Process Enhancements 20%
  • Support the definition, design, development, testing, branding, socialisation and signoff of enhancements
  • Support the design and implementation of operational processes covering data flow governance, data quality, validation checks and query management for reporting workstream
  • Continuous Improvements & Efficiencies 20%
  • Identify opportunities to simplify the reporting framework and operational processes to drive efficiencies, increase value and reduce costs
  • Support the external benchmarking activities, review of industry standards and best in class solutions

What we're looking for:

  • Master's Degree Required
  • Working knowledge on any analytical tools, SaaS based, Alteryx or Tableau
  • Detailed understanding of Technology Financials
  • Proven background in supporting transformational change programmes
  • Ability to analyse data, derive insights and provide recommendations
  • Commercial and financial awareness
  • Knowledge of regulatory framework the Technology business and cost transparency is operating in
  • Ability to support strategic roadmap definition and planning exercises
  • Ability to work in matrix teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, personal impact, confidence
