About Firmwide Data Management:


Firmwide Data Management ('FDM') serves as the governing body to create firmwide standards that drive consistent data management practices, develop technologies and processes to support data management priorities, and partner with Lines Of Business ('LOBs') to embed data management best practices and capabilities.


About Wholesale Risk Chief Data Office:

The Wholesale Risk Chief Data Office (WR CDO) is part of Risk Management and Compliance and is aligned with Firmwide Data Management (FDM) to maximize data interpretation consistency and data trustworthiness across Wholesale Risk.

WR CDO oversees and governs Data Risk Management framework which proactively identifies and monitors emerging and existing risks, establishes and maintains effective controls and governance to mitigate data risks arising from inappropriate, incorrect or unauthorized provision/ consumption, classification, storage, retention and disposal of data.

WR CDO covers data risks across Wholesale Risk organization that consists of:
Wholesale Credit, Market, Country, Principal, Model, Reputational and Climate Risks


Core responsibilities include:

  • Provide execution support to Data Risk Leads to facilitate seamless implementation of the Data Risk management roadmap.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Risk Management, Business Process Owners, Data Providers, Data Owners, Data Quality Managers, Control Managers; other CDOs and key datarelated roles across Business and Technology to facilitate effective communication.
  • Support Data Risk Leads in operationalizing data risk related processes and bringing it to an evergreen state.
  • Maintain Wholesale Risk CDO procedures to adhere to the Firmwide Data Risk Policy and Standards.
  • Defining and drive operational improvements in the WR CDO team's Data Risk Management domains

Minimum Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Finance related bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 610 years of demonstrated leadership experience in one of the following areas:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to lead projects with mínimal oversight.
  • Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel.
  • Familiar with PowerPoint basics and storytelling.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as QlikView, Alteryx is useful
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective credible relationships with business and technology partners.
  • Effective change management skills ability to support & adapt within a changing environment
  • Selfstarter, able to work autonomously, with strong time management skills; efficient at multitasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands ontime, to a high standard
  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of the company's business practices and familiarity with the company's products and services
