Description
A highly experienced senior database engineer with expertise primarily around Oracle Database and preferred to having sound knowledge on Exadata

  • The position requires deep technical expertise in installing configuring upgrading migrating and performance tuning of the Oracle database
  • Ideally should have 5 6 years of hands on experience in these areas
  • Strong in Oracle Database performance tuning and troubleshooting
Key skills

  • Should have Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting experience both on Exadata and non Exadata platform
  • Should have strong knowledge of Database day to day activity including upgrade and migration
  • Should have good knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager OEM including OEM Patching and upgrade
  • Should have very strong Customer facing experience Prefer to have sound knowledge of Exadata and hands on experience is plus
  • Should have Knowledge or call rotation Install configure monitor upgrade and maintain
  • Oracle databases in production and non production environments Support local across the DC failover with High Availability Disaster Recovery environment with Data guard Participate in Database Maintenance and DR activities
  • Provide technical expertise and hands on support in the consolidation and migration of databases to new hardware and platforms
  • Proactive and reactive performance analysis monitoring troubleshooting and resolution of escalated issues
  • Regular database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization trend analysis predictive future database resource requirements and the structured organized reporting of the same
  • Work closely with the other infrastructure engineering product development business operations and technical operations teams to ensure delivery of database services within the SLAs and performance targets
  • Participate in the evaluation selection and implementation of DBA tools to improve the effectiveness of tasks such as performance monitoring and tuning recovery and database change management processing
  • Ability to work well as a team and as an individual with mínimal supervision Windows Server 2012 and 2016 Administration
  • Excellent experience on Windows server administration Install Configure and support Windows Servers perform system maintenance
  • Monitor system performance maintain system security create system backups ADFS virtualization VMware Hyper V very good hands on hardware on Dell HP IBM
  • Very good technical notion on Wintel Backup storage virtualization Azure AWS cloud transformation Active Directory Domain Services ADDS Strong understanding of architecting and configuring MS Windows OS technology including AD Forests Domains Trusts DNS DHCP Group Policy and Organizational Units Plan and execute Active Directory Domain level upgrades
  • Troubleshoot resolve Active Directory GPO Active Directory Federated Services password identity management systems
  • Review domain level rights privileges perform changes to the same as appropriate Assist in management and support of internal external DNS systems internal DHCP architecture and scoping
  • Work with stakeholders other technical teams to collect business technical requirements design deliver enterprise level solutions
  • Create update technical documentation of operating procedures as needed
  • Maintain standards for installation of infrastructure software hardware installations
