Job description - F&DT Automation Engineer -Intern

Team:
Structural Analysis - Architecture & Concept Analysis (Siglum: AIEAAB)

The Architecture and Concept analysis team is a part of the 'Structural analysis' group under the Structures department and plays a key role in demonstrating emerging technology readiness levels and developing innovative solutions for design and development of current and future aircraft programmes.

Job scope (core activities):

Fatigue Spectra analysis and automation of analysis steps.

Explore digitization techniques such as automation, data analytics, machine learning etc. Simulate mathematical models to solve existing manual approaches using programming language.

Improve productivity of the process used for fatigue spectra analysis with preprocessing automation tools and collaborating all identified tools in User friendly GUI.

Develop solutions that meet the requirements of engineering, manufacturing, assembly, cost and time to market.

Design and material trade-off analysis for new and legacy Airbus programmes. Perform preliminary design and sizing studies using legacy methods, hand calculations and FEM. Linear and non-linear static and fatigue stress justifications using hand calculations and FEA. Collaborate with other groups within Airframe such as materials, system installation for end to end solutions.

Follow all set quality standards, processes, engineering principles and best practices. Collaborate with other teams to determine if designs meet customer need s.**
Required Domain Expertise:
Strong aptitude for technology (engineering fundamentals including knowledge of structural design, mechanical design, material properties & some awareness of Aerospace Industry standards for aircraft Structures)

Eager to use their mathematical and scientific abilities to build and solve Design Problems. Interpret engineering drawings

High level scripting knowledge for tools creation

Very good analytical and reasoning skills

Strong aptitude for problem solving

Excellent Communication & soft skills

Proactive, flexible & adaptive to changing project scenarios and requirements Tools
:MS Office, Nastran, Hypermesh, Abaqus**
Programming language:Python, Excel VBA

Soft skills:

Ability to work independently & in a transnational team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills
