Akanksha works primarily in the field of education, addressing formal education by initiating school reform through its School Project.

Currently, Akanksha reaches out to more than 13000 children through its 26 schools in Pune, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Nagpur, along with 4600 plus alumni supported by the Alumni Support and Engagement Team.

Assistant, Alumni Support and Engagement


Function/Team:
Alumni Support and Engagement**
Location: Mumbai


Compensation:
Approx 18k to 22k per month gross


Position Summary:

As the Assistant, Alumni Support and Engagement (ASE) you will be responsible for ensuring that all Akanksha alumni are provided opportunities to prepare them for college and career.

You will also be supporting a point of contact for the Akanksha school/s to enable smooth operations and coordination for all ASE initiatives.

What your role will entail

Central POC (Point of Contact)

The assistant will be supporting central goals like Financial Aid, Social Media Engagement and Data Management which will need coordination and collaboration with both city teams.

The key responsibilities are as follows:


  • Calendaring and scheduling activities for financial aid for all the phases and driving the financial aid process for Mumbai.
  • Keeping track of activities as defined in the Quarterly calendar for Financial Aid Process.
  • Collation of Data metrics for the year related to various ASE initiatives.
  • Upkeep of the alumni database in a timely manner.
  • Strategizing and creating support system for School POCs and support in implementing new initiatives with respect to Social Media and Almashine.
  • Creating a bank of inspiring and motivational alumni stories from the designated schools for social media handles as per predefined guidelines and timelines.

Assistant School POC (Point of Contact)

The assistant will support the point of contact for an Akanksha school with driving Key initiatives and will be responsible for:

  • Providing all-round support to alumni w.r.t careers, meetings, college admissions, financial aid and other alumni initiatives.
  • Coordinating with the school alumni for school specific events and other platforms with a purpose to build a sense of community.
  • Working closely with the Central POC to ensure participation of the school alumni for all opportunities presented to them.
  • Coordinating with the Central POC for data tracking, documentation and follow up with the alumni.
  • Supporting data requirements and analysis within the team and the organisation.
  • Creating a checkin and data tracking system for the alumni of the designated school with the help of interns and ambassadors.
  • Supporting the Primary POC with career sessions, counsellings and FYJC admission process as and when required.

What you need for this Position

Experience

  • 1 year of experience in the development space preferably working with adolescents (preferred).

Knowledge/Skills

  • Good written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Organisational and time management skills.
  • Highly motivated, persevering, achievementoriented attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility in planning and working with teams and across functions.
  • Strong Research and Data Management skills Education.

Education:


  • Minimum Qualification Required
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Pay:
₹18, ₹22,000.00 per month
