Key responsibilities

Head the software designdevelopment and testing initiatives.
Estimate engineering effort during multiple stages of product life cycle.
Be responsible for endtoend development architecture, thus ensuring the code written to implement the architecture and design meets the highest standards regarding code quality and efficiency.
Establish clean code and clean architecture principles for software development
Be ready to explore, learn and develop required skills onthejob as per the projects need.
Experience

with agile/scrum methodologies to iterate quickly on product changes, developing user stories and working through backlogs.

Must demonstrate good judgement and pragmatic approach to delivering software that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technical realities.
Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly regarding accessibility, usability and emerging technologies with a view to incorporating these in future projects and staying ahead of the market.
Foster teamwork and show commitment to team objectives, promote collaboration and remove obstacles. Own the product and take complete responsibility for the software quality.
Own end to end project delivery for the team by supporting them in interacting with product managers, overcoming blockers, removing dependencies and providing technical guidance
Setup efficient project delivery processes, workflows and schedules. Adapt processes to the changing requirements of the team. Contribute to the definition of project goals / metrics and drive the team towards the same.
Influence and establish best engineering practices in the team
Technically mentor engineers in the team (depending on your area of expertise)
Contribute to the architecture of the system, driving the quality and stability of the product by getting hands on as required with code and design reviews, debugging complex issues, among other things (depending on your area of expertise)
Continually assess, hire and scale the team as necessary. Contribute to team engagement by understanding and addressing concerns, motivating the team and helping them grow in one or more dimensions (such as technology, process, people)
Work closely with the technical leadership team to contribute to long term strategies and roadmaps.
Develop policies and procedures and use technology to enhance products and services that focus on external customers.
Oversee all aspects of the technology, including technical strategy, technology architecture, best practices technology stacks.
Manages the development process to ensure project deliverables are met on time and are of highest quality and efficiency.
